Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three to five years related non-profit or corporate experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be very detail-oriented, organized, flexible and a team player with the ability to multitask. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and strong written, oral and intercultural communication skills are essential. Experience with database processing (preferably Raiser’s Edge—including the building of queries and custom reports, exports and merges) strongly preferred. Knowledge of Japanese culture a plus.

The Global Master of Arts Program (GMAP) at The Fletcher School at Tufts University is a one-year graduate program in international affairs for mid- and senior-level professionals, which combines residency sessions, internet-mediated collaboration and faculty-produced multimedia content. GMAP is designed to provide unique global affairs educational opportunities to professionals who wish to continue working while studying.

Provides advanced support and coordination for a university Program or Project. Produces a variety of documents, reports and proposals, responds to inquiries and provides detailed information to constituents. Organizes and maintains files and databases; designs and updates applications or other forms for data entry. May assist in updating website and posting social media material. Participates in development of program or project marketing and communications materials, coordinates logistics for meetings and events including travel and arrangements for speakers, provides research assistance, and monitors budgets.

In particular, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for:
• Assumes responsibility for the logistics of three residencies each year – one international and two local (working with caterers, Tufts Conference Bureau, Tufts Facilities, hotels, and other venues, as well as various vendors to ensure smooth handling of the GMAP residencies; coordinating and making travel arrangements for faculty and staff for the residencies, etc).
• Coordination of course materials for the program (working with faculty to organize syllabi and meet deadlines for submission of materials and final grades; ordering books and other materials; obtaining copyright permissions; and mailing books and materials.)
• Providing other general support to the Associate Director (including organization, timely bill payments, etc).
• Assisting the Associate Director with discussion board supervision and course assignment submission, as well as with any other related student services issues, when necessary.
• Providing back-up support to the Senior Associate Dean, and to other members of the GMAP staff, when necessary.
Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
• High School diploma and 5+ years of related experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 0-3 years of related office experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of or experience in subject matter preferred.
Special Work Schedule Requirements:
