CIEE Kyoto is urgently looking for an instructor to teach a course on “International Finance” to US undergraduate students on a short-term study abroad program in Kyoto in Spring 2024 (Jan 4 – Feb 8, 2024).

As we cannot sponsor visas, only candidates currently residing in Japan with a valid work visa will be considered. Priority will be given to those residing within easy commuting distance of Kyoto.

Work Location: CIEE Kyoto, Shicata Avenir Building, 2F, 438-4 Sasaya-cho, Oike Sagaru, Higashi-no-toin-dori, Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto

Compensation: 400000 JPY, Contract for 45 contact hours plus marking and course prep, 400,000 JPY total

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s in relevant field
  • Teaching, tutoring, or TA experience.
  • Ability to connect with undergraduates from American institutions.
  • Proficiency in English.

Desired Qualifications:

  • PhD in relevant field
  • Published scholarship in relevant fields.
  • Experience using a learning management system (LMS).
  • Strong record of teaching excellence.
