Japanese Instructor for Rice University’s Summer Study Abroad program in Tokyo “Rice in Japan 2017” (May 16, 2017 to June 26, 2017)

資格: 学士号を保持し、大学でグループの教員経験あり。日本語が母語レベル。修士号やそれ以上ある方はなお可。

仕事内容: 東京で、アメリカ・テキサス州ヒューストンから来日するライス大学の短期留学生対象に、二年生レベルの日本語の授業を「ジャパン・タイムズのげんきII」の教科書を使って教える。授業時間は最低でも週3日、合計で45時間(開始終了時間は交渉可)。授業で使用する教材を作る他、ライス大学の日本語教員のガイダンスに従い、協力し、課題、試験、小テストなどを作り、採点する。

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors degree and experience teaching college / university level Japanese in a group setting. Native level Japanese. 

Preferred Requirements:

Masters degree or higher


Teach in Tokyo in the second-year Japanese class, using Genki II, Japan Times, to Rice University students from Houston, Texas, USA. Teach at least three days a week for a total of approximately 45 hours by the end of the program. Exact teaching times can be negotiated with the Rice University Instructor. Work in collaboration with and under the guidance of the Rice University Japanese language instructor. Create teaching materials for in-class instruction. Create and grade assignments, exams, and quizzes.
