Sales Associate needed immediately for NEXCO-West, USA, a new U.S. subsidiary of a large Japanese transportation technology company, located in Tysons Corner, VA near Greensboro and Tysons Corner Metro stations.

Our company offers innovative products already widely employed in Japan and now available to the U.S. transportation sector, particularly its non-destructive structural assessment technology involving proprietary camera and software applications. The position does not require an engineering background or expertise, but you will be working in the infrastructure sector with professional engineers, so some technical aptitude or interest is beneficial.

Job Responsibilities

• Identify and prepare action plans for targeting potential clients, distributors and partners
• Contact new prospects and existing clients to introduce our products
• Help prepare presentations, proposals and documentation needed to complete sales
• Present engineering concepts to contractors, architects, project teams and regulators
• Prepare and disseminate descriptive, informative marketing materials for clients and media
• Manage account administration for new and existing clients
• Nurture client relationships while identifying and addressing their concerns as they emerge
• Assist with technical demonstrations, bridge inspections and report preparation as needed
• Perform other sales and account management duties as assigned

Job Requisites

• College degree (Bachelors required, Masters desirable)
• Demonstrable achievements in prior positions or academic studies
• Outgoing, friendly and collaborative approach to clients, partners and co-workers
• High energy level and entrepreneurial spirit willing to cold-call and follow up leads quickly
• Availability to travel when required for presentations and bridge/concrete inspections
• Very polished English-language writing, verbal and presentation skills
• Understanding of website functionality and evolving social media usage
• Self-motivated personality able to organize, prioritize and consistently meet deadlines
• Japanese language ability or cultural exposure helpful but not required
