Overview:
Provides support in the coordination and supervision of programs in the area to which the job is assigned. May supervise subordinate staff, student employees and/or volunteers.
Responsibilities:
- Provides international program advising and academic advising to all TTU students interested in study abroad and other international programs.
- Provides academic, registration and other support to international students and assists students in selecting a international program activity that works with their major, international interests and other constraints.
- Provides support to and communicates with WCOE international academic partners. Makes contact and initiates LOI.
- Develops and implements new international programs and projects (including faculty led programs, dual degree programs, faculty exchanges, international summer programs, student research programs, service abroad programs, & reciprocal programs).
- Develops and implements workshops and classes to prepare students for study abroad activities.
- Conducts accounts reconciliation for study abroad programs, which includes collecting and maintaining balance data and managing balance process for reciprocal programs.
- Advertises international programs by develops promotional and marketing material and attending WCOE and IOA study abroad fairs and recruiting events.
- Coordinates FLP: logistics planning and implementation.
- Coordinates the study abroad academic credit equivalency process with the WCOE lead academic advisor, faculty and department advisors. Works with the lead advisor to maintaining and updating pre-approved study abroad course and equivalency tables.
- Maintains data and develops reports on study abroad and international program data and statistics
- Supports the study interface with the Office of International Affairs (OIA) and maintains and updates reconciliation of students in study abroad programs in coordination with OIA.
- Maintains contact and communication with students, parents, and faculty involved in study abroad programs. Responsible for effective reception and handling of visitors, students, parents and faculty.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus one (1) year related experience; OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal five (5) years.
