Overview: 

The hiring company is a pioneer in an event and venue management industry in Japan. They are seeking a Sales staff to add a value to their new operation in the US. The hiring company has a beautiful venue that has just opened in the heart of Manhattan. They give you an exciting opportunity for you to be part of expanding their US operation, to contact with elite companies and their executives, and learn business in the growing industry.

  • Communicates with and prepares reports for the Director of Operations.
  • Supervises event operations staff, responsibilities including training, goal setting, scheduling, and participating in performance-related activities (i.e. performance reviews, disciplinary matters, etc.)
  • Works closely with sales team to understand client needs and to ensure seamless transition from contract hand-off through event execution.
  • Ensures overall efficiency with regard to cost control related to vendors and suppliers (i.e. catering, AV, dishes, beverages, linen and building cleaning, etc.) and building service fees (i.e. elevator usage, electricity, security personnel, cleaning, etc.)
  • Coordinates staffing to ensure adequate coverage for all events.
  • Oversees and supports with room set-ups, AV equipment, and ensures all spaces and services are prepared according to client specifications.
  • Oversees and supports equipment testing prior to events (particularly AV equipment), ensuring everything is in position and in working order according to client specifications.
  • Ensures that the event operations team cleans up after events and returns all equipment to the appropriate place and implements ways to improve clean-up and storage functions.
  • Coordinates with related departments and vendors regarding services requested by the client (i.e. catering, AV equipment rental, signage, etc.) for their events and ensures that their needs are met.
  • Ensures that catering services are in line with client requests and develops strong relationships with various partnering catering services.

Qualifications:

  • Must have some work experience, experience in Hotel, Restaurant, Conventions is a big plus
  • Must be able to carry equipment
  • Must have excellent customer service skill
