Overview: 

The coordinator of Enrichment Programs is responsible for planning and implementing cultural enrichment programs and events for international students, including visiting Fulbright grantees.

Responsibilities:

1. Program Management/Administration (80%)
· Develop and implement programs for New York area international undergraduate and graduate students, including:

− community visits/home hospitality− cultural enrichment activities

− foreign affairs conference delegations

− receptions and special events

− campus-to-career programs

− student social and volunteer activities

· Maintain and develop program partnerships with cooperating institutions, organizations, and community groups

 

· Accompany groups on programs to provide leadership and promote interaction/cross-cultural exchange

· Prepare pre-program orientation sessions and materials

· Program Marketing and Recruitment:

−design and deliver presentations at campus orientations

−create and coordinate distribution of electronic program announcements and manage online registration process and database entry

-ensure that programs are filled to capacity whenever possible

 

· Further develop One To World Enrichment program’s social media presence using Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, etc.

· Post-program follow-up:

−distribute/summarize evaluation questionnaires; produce reports

−prepare thank-you correspondence

· Manage One To World’s fulltime Sciences Po Global Fellow intern

· Manage/maintain student database; produce statistical reports

· Support Director in programming for Fulbright grantees as needed

· Work with the executive staff and committees of the Board of Directors to develop and implement new programs and service strategies

· Support donor cultivation program management

− Conversations with Fulbrighters

− Dinner Diplomat Programs

− Other projects as requested

· Prepare and oversee program budgets; maintain detailed financial records

 

2. Information Services (10%)

· Respond to mail, telephone, email and walk-in inquiries from students/scholars and colleagues regarding One To World’s programs and services, city living, and related issues

· Provide information referral and advice to affiliated organizations on international student issues & concerns as requested

· Represent One To World at monthly membership meetings & conferences

 

3. Grant Maintenance (5%)

· Assist in preparing funding requests, proposals and final reports to funders

 

4. Other duties as requested (5%)
Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Master’s Degree preferred
  • Previous administrative experiences (especially event planning/coordination and/or programming for international students)
  • Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail & ability to multitask effectively
  • International work, study, or living experience
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills (oral, written, cross-cultural)
  • High energy and enthusiasm for working with international student population willingness to work many weekends and evenings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience working with online databases, graphic design, desktop publishing and web design software a plus
  • Firsthand knowledge of New York City
  • Creative, sense of humor, “can do” attitude; strategic/resourceful thinker
  • Experience with marketing, communication & social media a plus
