Overview:

    • Develop Wooga’s presence in Japan: Be smart about growing our player base and brand awareness in the world’s largest gaming market! Japanese players love our games, you need to make sure they know about them.
    • User acquisition in Japan is very local and specific. You should identify key marketing partners and channels (ad agencies, mobile networks, TV broadcasters, other gaming companies), negotiate custom deals, oversee creation of marketing materials, control and optimise the results. You will receive full support from our Berlin-based marketing and creative teams.
    • Help Wooga understand how we can improve our games to please the Japanese players, and understand where the biggest opportunities in the market are for Wooga.

  • Develop a local PR and community strategy, act as the lead spokesperson for Wooga in Japan.
  • Build upon and further improve the local relationship with some of Wooga’s key platform partners such as Apple, Google, Facebook, etc.
  • Improve our (Berlin-based) Japanese customer service and localization.
  • Provide input for our business across Asia.

Requirements:

  • Experience in digital marketing, ideally at a mobile publisher, iOS/Android developer or gaming company.
  • Experience in games development is a huge plus.
  • A good understanding of the Japanese media market including mobile marketing channels and TV broadcasters. Strong personal relationships with key media agencies would be an advantage.
  • You are fully fluent in Japanese and have working level knowledge of English. You don’t need to speak German!
  • A passion for games, and curious about new technology. You’re not an engineer, but know what SDK, API and IAP are.
  • Team player that can adapt easily to others and also work well under minimum supervision.
  • Analytical mindset, quantitative degree or similar.
