Position: Disney International College Program Coordinator
Posted by: Disney International College Program (DICP) at Montclair State University
Location: Montclair, NJ
Type: part-time hourly position (approximately 20 hours per week) $15-18 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Overview:

Under the supervision of the Director of International Services, with indirect reporting to the Director of Study Abroad, perform visa and logistical tasks associated with the Disney International College Program (DICP) at Montclair State University.  The DICP hosts approximately 200 students per year from China for a short term program at MSU followed by an internship at Walt Disney World in Florida.  The Disney Program Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the J1 visa process for these students as well as all logistics for their stay in Montclair.  The Disney Program Coordinator will also provide general support to International Services programs.

Responsibilities:

·         Create 10-day schedule of events for each cohort’s time in Montclair

·         Administer contracts for bus transportation, domestic air transportation, hotel services and health insurance and others.

·         Initiate sole service requests for vendors  (museums, tour companies, bus company, restaurants, telecharge, tourist sites in NYC, etc.)

·         Maintain knowledge of Procurement rules for a NJ state university

·         Coordinate entire  J1 process for students

·         Create Enrollment Spreadsheets

·         Coordinate Health Insurance Enrollment

·         Make presentations to students including health insurance and J1 regulations

·         Attend weekly meetings (seasonal), visa check-ins, orientations and some excursions or special events

·         May supervise student workers

·         Assist with other programs as needed

·         Assist Director with all employment based immigration matters for faculty and staff.  Employment based immigration includes: H-1B nonimmigrant petitions, EB-1 Outstanding Research and Professor immigrant petitions,  PERM Special Handling cases for faculty, PERM filings for professional staff, EB-2 National Interest Waiver immigrant petitions, and Schedule A, Group II filings

·         Other duties as assigned
 Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree

·          As per J1 Federal Regulations, U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required for SEVIS administration.

·         Knowledge of and experience working with J1 visa regulations.

·         Experience with SEVIS preferred

·         Familiarity with FSA Atlas and student information systems preferred

·         Knowledge of NJ State Procurement policies helpful but not required

·         Experience in event planning

·         Ability to work independently, prioritize and manage multiple demands

·         Excellent organization and record-keeping skills

·         Strong communications skills, persuasion, negotiation, trouble-shooting, customer service and assertiveness

·         Strong computer skills, knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

·         Ability to succeed in a busy, fast-paced environment

·         Some evenings and weekends required.
