Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 1 year of relevant professional experience. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Desired Qualifications:

Prior work in a university setting with student advising responsibilities, personal experience living and/or working overseas, foreign language skills, prior administrative duties, and student activity programming experience.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Job Duties

  • Provides study abroad advising: counsels students on university-approved study abroad programs, polices and regulations, to include supplying information on admission requirements, registration procedures and transfer credit practices.
  • Coordinates the Focus on Fall Abroad (FOFAC) program to include organization of student events, coordination with housing department, marketing of program, organization of Cultural Ambassadors Committee, reporting on statistics related to FOFAC, etc.
  • Promotes programs through speaking engagements, participation in professional organizations, and advertising. Maintains student records and program files.
  • Performs other work related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
