Job Description: 
Global Experiences London Program Director role requires an experienced and highly motivated individual to oversee and manage the internship placement, ensuring successful matches between our program participants and organizations and lead the social programming calendar including welcome orientations and career development programming. Eligible candidates MUST have ability to work legally in the UK.The position is responsible for ongoing development of the employer placement database in London and maintaining and strengthening existing partnerships, manage the program start dates three times a year and oversea monitoring.  The role will serve as the face of Global Experiences in London to our students and our partners and will be expected to represent the organizational core values. During the busiest time in the summer there will also be management of a larger team that assist with delivering the social programming and career development.

Job Responsibilities:

Employer Development and Placement management

  • Develop and manage relationships with businesses and organizations in London to grow and deepen the Global Experiences internship database.
  • Manage the application approval process and work with program advisors the matching and interview process to ensure all participants are quickly and successfully placed into high quality internships.
  • Implement and develop a communication strategy to effectively manage new and existing employer relationships.
  • Work closely with GE’s overseas and US-based representatives to manage placement process through weekly meetings and planning sessions.

Program Management

  • Work closely with Programs Director to ensure communication alignment and collaboration.
  • Manage student, parent, and employer expectations while working to ensure a happy customer.
  • Manage intern issues during programs.
  • Manage Career Development program development and implementation.
  • Maintain close ties to housing partners to ensure quality experience and quick resolutions to issues.
  • Contribute to company vision, growth and innovation

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred), plus a minimum of 5 years work experience in relevant field, i.e. Human Resources, Education management, Study Abroad, Career Coaching, Business Development, Student Services, Business management.
  • Experience living and working in London
  • UK Work Visa, Residency or Citizenship
