The Organization
The Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre (NNMCC) is a leading Japanese Canadian organization providing public and educational programs, museum and archival services, as well as a community meeting ground to British Columbians and Canadians.  The NNMCC is a non-governmental organization with a small and dedicated team of professional staff that run the day-to-day operations of the organization.  Volunteers play an important role, and include the Board, an active Auxiliary Committee, and several board/volunteer committees.

The Position
The ideal candidate will be a passionate spokesperson for the community, with a proven record of success in people management, community collaboration, financial management and fundraising.  The Executive Director will oversee five direct reports including: the Director-Curator, Public Programmer, Accountant, Rentals Manager, Office Assistant/Receptionist and miscellaneous contract staff.  The Executive Director is integral to the success of Nikkei Place through effective partnerships and collaboration with the leadership and staff of the Nikkei Senior Health Care and Housing Society (NSHCHS) and the Nikkei Place Foundation (NPF).
