Duties & Responsibilities
Established in 1994, TVT offers television versioning, localisation and media supply services. Between programme planning and playout, TVT provide all the components to build channels.
As a Broadcast Co-ordinator you will play a vital role in ensuring the overall success of a BBC based project. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be part of the team responsible for the Japanese versioning of live news and current affairs programming.
Responsibilities
- Day to day running of Japanese studio in London
- Monitoring Japanese audio output
- Investigating and reporting on broadcast issues
- Operation of broadcast systems such as subtitling programmer and auto playout software
- Organisation of schedules and staff rotas
- Processing freelancer invoices
- Out of hours response for broadcast issues
Knowledge and Experience
- The ability to work well under pressure and using your own initiative
- Previous broadcast experience would be an advantage
- Competence with Mac, PC, Microsoft Word and Excel
Personal Skills
- Excellent organisational, analytical and problem solving skills
- Superb attention to detail
- Must be punctual and able to manage own time and conduct several tasks simultaneously and to tight deadlines
- Confident and pro-active
- Japanese language ability
