Overview
The Center for Global Business and Government is dedicated to programs that prepare leaders to better understand, shape, and succeed in the dynamic interactions between business and government in today’s global economy. In the wake of the World Financial Crisis, governments are now a factor in most strategic global business decisions, and the leaders of global businesses and national governments struggle to understand each other’s goals, constraints, and methods. The programs at the center are aimed at addressing this knowledge gap.

Position Purpose
To help grow the programs of the Center for Global Business & Government as a member of an energetic and entrepreneurial team. To execute center programs efficiently, effectively, and accurately. To develop relationships with student groups interested in the Center’s mission. To contribute ideas for improving and augmenting the operations and content of the Center’s student-facing programs.

Skills & Knowledge
•Excellent project management skills.
•Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
•Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
•Ability to take initiative and work autonomously.
•Well developed, clear verbal and written communication skills.
•Ability to represent the center with students, senior faculty and executives, and outside vendors.
•Ability to work well in a team.
•Ability to manage budgets.
•Ability to contribute ideas in discussions with the center team about the center’s programs and strategy.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
•Experience using database software preferred.
•Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse population.

Minimum Experience
•Three years of relevant work experience, including demonstrated success in project management.
•Experience working autonomously.
•Experience negotiating with, hiring, and managing vendors.
•Writing and presentation experience.
•Experience interacting with senior faculty, executives, or the equivalent.
•Budget management experience.
•Experience in business or a business school setting preferred.
•Experience working in a fast-paced or entrepreneurial environment preferred.
•Personal experience with international travel (for tourism, study, or work) preferred.
•Experience administering international education programs a plus.

Minimum Education
•Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Master’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience desirable.
