Overview:
The White House Project ignites the leadership of women in business and politics. We connect, coach and educate an ever-expanding alumnae network of 14,000 nationwide. With a focus on women age 21-35, we activate the ambition, creativity, and skills necessary for innovative and effective leadership.

The White House Project seeks enthusiastic, committed individuals for exciting and challenging internships in NYC. Internships are available in Development, Communications, Programs, and Executive. We are currently accepting applications for Fall interns. Internships are unpaid, but we frequently work with colleges, universities and organizations that sponsor students or offer credit. Ideal candidates will have a background in political science, women’s studies, communications or business. Strong written and oral communication skills are a must. We are looking for individuals with an interest in igniting women’s leadership and learning more about the non-profit sector.

General Description:
• Assist staff with ongoing research
• Event planning, outreach, and organizing
• Writing opportunities in public relations, research projects, and media outreach
• Create and implement programs
• Monitor relevant news in women’s leadership
• Data entry in Salesforce

General Requirements:
• A strong interest in promoting women’s leadership
• Strong research, writing and computer skills
• Ability to work well independently and as a team
• Initiative and ability to follow-through on all assigned tasks and pay attention to detail
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and Internet; database familiarity a plus but not required
• NYC internships are based in NYC, remote internships not currently available
• Hours: Part time & Full time available
• Length: ASAP-November/Dec. flexible

OPEN INTERN POSITIONS

Executive Office Intern
• Prepare agendas and briefings for meetings
• Make travel arrangements and support other administrative tasks
• Assist in day-to-day functions of the executive team
• Scheduling
• Meeting records
• Assist with social media components
