Job Position: Content Writer and Translator for JAPANiCAN Travel Co (Tokyo)

Job Details:

JAPANiCAN.com is looking for native English speakers to join our translation/writing/editing staff.

About the Job:

  • Creating, writing and editing English content for JAPANiCAN.com
  • Translating Japanese data and documents to English
  • Some travel may be required to research new English articles

    • Required Qualifications:

  • Native-level English, currently residing in Japan
  • Able to begin work from Mid April 2011
  • Appropriate Japanese work visa (e.g., specialist in humanities, spousal visa)

    • Job Location:
    Tokyo (Shinagawa-ku)

    Working Hours:
    9:30-18:00

    Type of Hire:
    Fixed-term contract staff

    Contract Period:
    April 2011 – 31 March 2012
    Contract renewable a maximum of 4 times. After initial contract period, subsequent contracts will be for a period of 1 year.
    *The decision to renew a contract will be based on job performance and results achieved under the previous contract, and will only occur with the consent of both parties.

    Salary:
    JPY 2,800,000 – 3,000,000/year

    Holidays/Vacation:
    Saturday, Sunday, public holidays, year-end/New Year’s holiday, anniversary day-off, birthday day-off, paid holidays
