Tsukuba International School (TIS) is looking for a full-time elementary school teacher and two full-time junior high school teachers to start in September 2011. Tsukuba International School Seeks Full-Time Elementary School Teacher

TIS offers an international education for children in Grades 1 to 8. We will eventually offer up to Grade 10. We are currently seeking a certified elementary school teacher to start in September 2011. The successful candidate will teach all core subjects (including Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies) in transdisciplinary units to Grade 4 students and will share responsibility for additional subjects (including Art, Physical Education, Music, and Information Technology) with the other teachers at the school. As TIS is currently a candidate school for the Primary Years Programme (PYP) of the International Baccalaureate, experienced PYP teachers will be given preference, although certified teachers with a strong interest in inquiry-based learning, collaborative planning, and the PYP will also be considered.

Tsukuba International School Seeks 2 Full-Time Junior High School Teachers

Tsukuba International School (TIS) offers an international education for children in Grades 1 to 8. We will eventually offer up to Grade 10. The junior high school is comprised of a split Grade 6/7 class and a split Grade 8/9 class. We are currently seeking a certified junior high school teacher to start in September 2011. The successful candidate will teach either English and Humanities or Math and Science to the two junior high school classes and will share responsibility for additional subjects (possibly including Art, Physical Education, Music, or Technology) with the other teachers at the school. As TIS is currently a candidate school for the Middle Years Programme (MYP) of the International Baccalaureate, experienced MYP teachers will be given preference, although certified teachers with a strong interest in transdisciplinary studies, collaborative planning, and the PYP will also be considered.
