Job Position: Tour Coordinator (Meeting & Incentive, Sales Department), Torrance, CA

Job Details:

This position is responsible for handling tour arrangements and sales activities for group business. This includes customer service and account maintenance. Overtime and business trips may be required.

Essential Functions:

A. Handling operational activities for group trips

  • Arrange air bookings
  • Arrange hotel reservations
  • Arrange land operations
  • Create group documents
  • Manage group registration sites
  • Any other arrangements related to group operations
  • Communicate with Japan office to coordinate travel arrangements in Japan
  • B. Communication with group clients

  • Communicate with clients to make group arrangements in compliance with their requirements and needs
  • Provide clients with appropriate information on the status of the group arrangements
  • Attend meetings when necessary
  • C. Communication with group tour participants

  • Prepare proper correspondence to tour participants to cater to their needs in a timely manner
  • Provide tour participants with advice on travels as needed
  • D. Assistance to group escorting

  • Escort groups with professional quality as required
  • E. Maintain existing accounts

  • Visit our current clients and maintain good relationships with them
  • F. New group accounts acquisition

  • Visit prospective clients and make presentations
  • Requirements:

  • Travel industry experience is preferred but not required
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Multi-tasking skills
  • Moderate MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills
  • Bilingual (English/Japanese)
