Job: Manager, Research and Strategy at NTT DoCoMo (NYC)

The Japanese mobile telecommunications company, NTT DoCoMo, is looking for a bilingual manager of research and strategy for their offices in New York City.  The company behind Japan’s i-mode and the American Namimail, a tech solution to reading and typing Japanese on Blackberries also recently opened a New York Customer Service Desk in the local Kinokuniya Bookstore.

DUTIES

  • Conduct mobile/telecom related research.
  • Interpret and analyze research results to offer strategic directions.
  • Maintain contacts and relationships with existing business partners.
  • Forge new relationships and partnerships with key corporate entities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field with 5 or more years of experience in business development; preferably in telecommunication or IT industry.

Experience in development and implementation of strategies and contract negotiations.

Strong interests in wireless communication business or contents business.

Possess creative mind with entrepreneurial spirit that can think outside the box to deliver new business models.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Interpersonal skills to build rapport quickly that lead to the formation of valuable business relationships.

Native level English with business level Japanese.

Knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel.
