Bilingual IT specialist

6 month contract, located in Deerfield, IL.  Interviews will be conducted on-site very soon.  The rate is in the $20-$25/hr rate.

Requirements:

• ***Must be bilingual Japanese***
• Provides first-level assistance for complex problems; escalates trouble tickets as necessary.
• Utilizes an advanced understanding of desktop hardware and software to provide end user support. This individual will identify system problems, implement corrective action and provide desktop hardware and software assistance as well as support for some applications. Peripheral devices such as printers, PDA?s, and external drives will also be supported.
• Record, analyze and provide corrective action for support requests by end users in the form of calls, email, or in person requests. Routes requests to the appropriate support team when necessary.
• Prepare computer equipment requiring imaging of the operating system or other software.
• Answer how to questions for all standard desktop software and hardware.
• Support and provide technical expertise for standard peripheral equipment such as printers, cd or dvd r/w, and port explicators.
• Provide support and technical expertise for non-standard peripheral devices as needed including wireless routers, mp3 players and pda’s.
• Install, support and provide technical expertise for non-standard desktop software as needed.
• Provide technical and application support for business system applications.
• Participate in team projects that enhance the quality or efficiency of help desk service.
• Works with other IT Teams to test and deploy applications and systems hardware and software.
• Supports production and development environments and provides on call support after business hours as needed.
  Minimum of two years IT or equivalent experience
