Position: Manager, Student Services for the CIEE Study Center.
CIEE is looking to hire a Manager, Student Services in our Study Center located at Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan. This individual is responsible for all general aspects of program operations including: student affairs and support, and general office support. This person will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of the summer program. The Manager, Student Services is responsible for ensuring the highest levels of program quality and customer satisfaction. The position includes but is not limited to the responsibilities described and is subject to change.

The Resident Director is a full-time position with an anticipated start date of October 15, 2009. Salary is commensurate with qualifications. Compensation includes the CIEE benefits package.
Required Qualifications and Competencies:
* Master’s degree, required.
* Post-graduate degree in discipline relevant to the mission of the program.
* 4-7 years’ professional work experience, preferably in an international education-related position.
* Fluent in Japanese and English.
* Strong leadership skills and commitment to customer service.
* Must have an in-depth knowledge of Japanese culture, history, business practices, and academic environment as well as U.S. higher education.
* Must be currently working in Tokyo or elsewhere in Japan at the time of application.
