Job Description:
Reporting to the Director of Admission, the International Admission Recruiter will assist with the development of the international recruitment plan and with meeting the enrollment projects in select regions.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out an effective international recruitment strategy through high school visits, college fairs and agent/guidance counselor events in designated territories abroad
  • Develop contacts with high schools and agents in designated territories as well as with professional associations
  • Review undergraduate freshmen and transfer applications with foreign credentials in a timely fashion
  • Meet international student enrollment target through recruitment and conversion events
  • Provide feedback and analysis to the Director of Admission, Associate Director for International Admission and the A.V.P. for Enrollment regarding successes with and challenges of recruiting international students
  • Liaise with such offices as the International Student Services Office to ensure timely delivery of I-20s
  • Ensure web and print materials regarding international admission are current
  • Participate in the day to day operations of the Office of Admission through daily admission presentations, interviews, and on- and off-campus admission events, Open Houses and Accepted Student Days as well as email, online chats and call campaigns
  • Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum three years experience in International Admissions and Recruitment required.
  • Knowledge of International Education Systems required.
  • Must possess technical skills in developing presentations and reports; knowledge of MS Word and Excel are required; knowledge of Access and Banner are preferred.
  • Must have excellent communication skills; knowledge of a foreign language preferred.
  • Must hold Permanent Residence or US Citizenship and a valid driver license.
  • The ideal candidate must be flexible, willing to work evenings and weekend, able to juggle multiple tasks and possess excellent oral and written communication skills. The ideal candidate must be a leader who is willing to meet aggressive international student enrollment goals, stay current regarding trends in international higher education and be involved with professional associations.
