JS of Northern California

  • JSNC vs. JETAA Kickball Event – Listen up Northern California JET alumni! The Japan Society will battle the JET Alumni Association of Northern California in the time-honored sport of kickball. So flex those muscles and go kick some … balls! Afterward you can celebrate your victory with BBQ. Sounds like a formula for a kickin’ good time.

    • Place: Golden Gate Park, George Washington Grove (25th Ave. & MLK Jr. Dr.)C

JAS of the State of Washington

  • Japan Young Professionals Group Business Event – At this dinner and networking event, Takumi Ono, founder and president of Junglecity Network, Inc., will speak about founding her own company and how her experience relates to young professionals. Junglecity.com is a Japanese language portal dedicated to providing the most extensive and up-to-date information on Seattle and Washington State. Junglecity has also just launched in Portland.
    • Date: Wednesday, June 24
    • Time: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
    • Place: O’Asian Kitchen & Lounge, 800 5th Ave., Suite Plaza 1, Seattle

JAS of Central Ohio 

  • Japanese language programs – JASCO has two upcoming programs for adults and children. The first is an intensive Japanese class for Beginners II meeting on Wednesdays from June 17 through Aug. 19. For more information, see this flyer. The second is a Japanese language summer camp designed to provide local children with opportunities to learn basic Japanese language and culture. The camp will run Aug. 3 through Aug. 7This flyer gives more information.
