Job Description:

  • Prestigious International Corporations with many subsidiaries and businesses associated with them is currently seeking an experienced licensed attorney; In-House counsel.
  • This office is heavily influenced by the Japanese business culture, so experience dealing with a Japanese company or Japanese Clients will definitely contribute to the success of a candidate

Basic duties include but are not limited to:

  • Review the Company’s insurance and risk management programs; Prepare and negotiate, as directed by the Company, the most effective programs in the current Company’s business structure
  • Review and maintain the Company’s operating policies, procedures and manuals
  • Review various business agreements in any manner related to the Company’s business activity and other contractual commitments involving the Company
  • Support and participate in contract negotiations
  • Complete special projects and tasks, and provide prompt in-house legal advice to officers and employees of the Company with respect to legal issues or concerns
  • Select and retain outside legal counsel as needed to advise, represent and defend the Company and to represent the Company’s interest in any matter or controversy which may result in litigation, arbitration, Alternative Dispute Resolution (“ADR”) or administrative action by any governmental agency or by private parties
  • Develop and recommend appropriate forms of contracts involving the Company
  • Help interpret laws and regulations affecting the business activities of the company’s various entities.
