Bucknell University seeks applicants for a Director of the Office of International Education. The Director of International Education reports to the Assistant Provost and manages a team of 6 professional and part-time staff. Bucknell University currently sends over 40% of its student population off campus and expects this number to grow. The Office of International Education is responsible for advising these students on over 160 off-campus studies options. The Director of International Education oversees the Office of International Education, providing leadership in strategic planning, financial management, staff development, program evaluation and development, policy development and implementation, and representation of the office internally and externally. The Director also advises students who are exploring off-campus study.
A master’s degree is required; doctoral degree preferred. Extensive experience in international education administration and management required. 5 years experience in international education administration desired. Extensive experience in curricular advising; faculty outreach; international studies policy and program development; health, safety and liability issues; international program agreements; and management and organizational development. Experience studying and/or working abroad is desirable. Excellent team and communication skills, with attention to detail, ability to multitask, office management skills required.
