These positions are located at our Harrisonburg, Va., development office (in a college town approximately 100 miles southwest of Washington, D.C.) in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. The area offers a high quality of life (hiking, biking, national parks, historic areas) and scores well on cost of living.

Minimum Job Requirements:
• Excellent Japanese written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional creative writing or news writing skills
• Ability to write content with constrained vocabulary
• NATIVE Japanese speaker with an excellent linguistic understanding of the language and an understanding of the obstacles posed to learners of Japanese
• Comfortable writing for wide range of audiences
• Familiarity with multimedia technology
• Ability to balance creativity with ambitious deadlines
• Thrives in a team environment
• Bachelor’s degree in fine arts, linguistics, second-language acquisition, education or a related field
Preferred Skills and/or Education:
• Language-teaching experience
• Storyboard experience
• Multilingual with linguistic expertise in languages in addition to Japanese
• Graduate degree in creative writing, literature, or journalism
• Familiar with curriculum design
• Experience in intercultural communication and problem solving
