Advertised Summary Job Description Working with and reporting to the Academic Director, the Administrative Director executes the research, programming, and fundraising agendas of the Center. The incumbent will be the interface between the Center and the administration of the Business School and that of the University.Responsibilities:

1. Direct the Center team of several officers. Manage their professional development and carry out semi-annual reviews.

2. Oversee budget administration with the Center’s financial officer.

3. Develop programs and oversee the planning of conferences, workshops, symposia and lectures held in New York and Tokyo.

4. Liaise with other administrative departments of the Business School; work collaboratively with them to keep CJEB informed and involved in School initiatives.

5. In consultation with the Academic Director, develop and implement new fundraising strategies and research new funding opportunities. Manage relationships with current corporate sponsors and help grow corporate sponsorship program.

6. Oversee all aspects of sponsorship and grant administration, both foreign and domestic

7. Prepare and manage production of the Center’s annual report
Minimum Qualifications for Grade
Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of 5 years’ related experience required.
Additional Position-Specific Minimum Qualifications
Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant Effective project management skills. Proven ability to manage people with a pro-active leadership style. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Cultural sensitivity, ability to exercise tact and discretion with U.S. and international faculty, business and government leaders.
Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree (or its equivalent) strongly desired, preferably in Economics, International Affairs, International Business, Japanese or East Asian Studies.
Experience in team management, as well as in research and/or program administration in higher education or a non-profit institution preferred.
