CIEE is currently seeking a Student Services Manager for their Study Center in Shanghai to be responsible for the overall design, implementation and quality of student services programming and residential life. This position manages a staff and serves as a resource and counsel for students. The position also assists the Center Director with the general daily administration of all programs at the Study Center.
A Master’s degree is required along with a minimum of 5 years’ experience preferably in student affairs, study abroad, or international education exchange. Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese (native in one) required. The ideal candidate must have an appreciation for Chinese culture and people.

The International Programs Office at Trinity University is pleased to announce the opening for the position of Assistant Director for International Student and Scholar Services.
SUMMARY:
The Assistant Director for International Student and Scholar Services is responsible for ensuring that international students and scholars remain in legal immigration status and that Trinity University is in compliance with US government regulations. The Assistant Director serves as the Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) overseeing the maintenance of immigration records in the student record system, the international student database, and the Department of Homeland Security’s Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS). The Director works with the ISSS Advisor to assist international students and scholars on adjustment, immigration, personal, financial and employment issues and serves as a functional lead in organizing programs to promote strong international student retention and matriculation rates.
DUTIES: Liaises with the US Department of Homeland Security and prepares for SEVIS re-certification; Monitors developments in immigration policies, procedures and regulations on a daily basis as they relate to SEVIS/SEVP; Acts as a lead immigration advisor to international students and scholars; Provides a lead role in coordinating programming opportunities for international students; Provides a lead role in responding to inquiries and questionnaires relating to incoming exchange students; Maintains exchange students’ visa paperwork, follows up with transcript and enrollment verification requests, and advises the IPO Director and maintain exchange student balances; In coordination with the Director of the International Programs Office, oversees the recruitment and training of the International Student and Scholar Advisor; Serves as an instructor in one of the sections of the International Student Orientation Courses.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Up-to-date knowledge of immigration regulations and SEVIS/SEVP approved procedural steps; Excellent organizational and analytical skills; Experience with web-based applications, and software, and database systems such as SEVIS, Google Docs and familiarity with Terra Dotta; High level interpersonal and communicational skills; Ability to work with internationally and culturally diverse populations; Professional manners and collaborative work style. Complies with all Trinity University policies and guidelines.
EDUCATION: B.A.
REQUIRED: US Citizenship or permanent resident status is required
