A Japanese Manufacturing company is currently looking for a full time, fully onsite Japanese Bilingual Translator/ Administrative Assistant to join their Owensboro, KY location.
The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Japanese and have a strong willingness to learn and adapt. DOE and skills, the pay range for this position would be around the 55k-60k mark, with great benefits such as medical, dental and vision.
Your essential duties would be as follows:
• Provide consecutive interpretation between languages for various meetings and interactions.
• Interpret and edit written documentation from one language to another.
• Support Japanese staff members, visitors, and their families with administrative tasks such as coordinating employee activities and assisting with special projects.
• Assist in administrative tasks related to supporting expatriates, including accompanying them to appointments (e.g., hospitals, schools, obtaining driver’s licenses).
• Occasionally handle after-hours or weekend emergency responses.
Please consider the following qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or four years of related experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Fluency in both English and Japanese is required.
• Proficient personal computer and system software skills.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to new situations.
• Previous experience in manufacturing is beneficial but not required; training will be provided for manufacturing terminology.
