The U.S. Department of State invites K-12 teachers to the Global Teaching Dialogue on July 11, 2016, at the George C Marshall Center (21st and C Streets, NW), U.S. Department of State, Washington, D.C. from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.  The event is FREE but attendees arrange their own travel and accommodation.

Come learn about U.S. Department of State fellowship programs for teachers and hear from alumni who have participated in them. Hear from State Department advisors about their foreign policy work. Diplomatic simulations on global issues and other resources will be available through the U.S. Diplomacy Center at the Department of State, in advance of its anticipated opening in 2018. K-12 teachers and others will share strategies and materials to integrate innovative global content into different subject areas on issues ranging from the environment to public health to global citizenship to world literature, and more!

Participate in a resource fair and learn about organizations that can help you bring the world to your classroom, school and community.

Special guest Shanna Peeples, the 2015 National Teacher of the Year, will reflect on her travel to the Middle East, China, and Peru.
