JAPAN HOUSE is a Japanese Government’s public diplomacy initiative and its Los Angeles location is managed by a private company in Hollywood. The management office of JAPAN HOUSE in Los Angeles seeks to fill a full-time Planning Manager position and a full-time PR Manager position
Vision: As part of public diplomacy of Japan, promote understanding and appreciation of “Real” Japan to Americans in order to further strengthen relationships between Japan and the United States.
Mission: Create a cutting-edge forum to showcase the finest of Japanese arts, culture, technology, food, and more through programs, events, exhibits, shop and restaurant, presented at, and presented by, Japan House.
1. Planning Manager
- Responsibilities: Coordinate and implement events and programs which will be held at, and off-site of, Japan House in such a way to best appeal to the American visitors.
- Minimum qualifications: 5-7 years of experience in event planning and coordination. Advanced Japanese (writing, reading and speaking) and native English.
2. PR Manager
- Responsibilities: Develop and handle media relations, produce PR materials, coordinate and implement marketing plans, manage portal site and SNS, and handle any other activities in the area of public relations of Japan House.
- Minimum qualifications: 5-7 years of experience in public relations and/or marketing. Advanced Japanese( writing, reading and speaking) and native English.
