As Field Marketing Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the sales strategy of your regions with the production, and execution of a dedicated strategic marketing plan.  Reporting to the Marketing Director EMEA and Asia Pacific and working closely with the Metering business sales managers and the Strategic Solutions Marketing team the Field Marketing Manager will be responsible for the planning and execution of dedicated multi-channel marketing campaigns to generate new prospects and improve client retention. This is a hugely varied role which will encompass the full array of marketing disciplines across multiple countries in a strategically important region for Sensus

Regions: Japan, South East Asia, China, India, Australasia (For FY16-17 these are defined below but will change and evolve according to the needs of the business.)

Responsibilities:

  • In close collaboration with your sales counterparts in the regions you are responsible for, you will have sole responsibility for crafting and executing the Marketing Strategy and tactics for the existing metering business
  • Support your Strategic Solutions Marketing  colleagues with the execution of any Communications-focused activities which fall within your region
  • Work alongside the local sales and account management teams planning marketing initiatives to support key pitches and to retain existing clients
  • Working alongside the Digital Marketing Manager, plan, organise and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns in the regions you represent
  • Generate new leads for the regions you are responsible for, via multi-channel marketing activities
  • Gather and report customer intelligence to sales teams across EMEA and Asia Pacific
  • Manage vendor contracts within your region
  • Create innovative and creative marketing programs to drive brand loyalty
  • Organize and attend tradeshows and events to market the Sensus portfolio of products.
  • Produce and promote case studies for clients within your region
  • Manage and maintain prospect data ensuring data quality and marketing history is up-to-date
  • Monitor field marketing programs to evaluate their efficiency and effectively, and report on the results of the marketing activities within your region to the Marketing Director EMEA and Asia Pacific on a monthly basis

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with digital marketing and lead generation, (including email, social media, web and search marketing experience)
  • Ability to work with and influence colleagues at multiple levels of the organisation and across diverse geographies 
  • Ability to translate strategy into specific priorities, objectives, and action plans to produce desired outcomes
  • A proven track record in driving business results
  • Advanced-level professional competency in written and spoken English language is required 
  • Knowledge of building and meeting budgets
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills
  • Motivational and collaborative approach to team working
  • Sound understanding of the best practice principles of branding, corporate communication and PR
  • Experience of managing agencies and other external suppliers
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to quickly identify and solve problems 
  • Comfortable with technical terminology and language
  • Customer focused, enthusiastic and flexible with an ability to find solutions to problems
  • Demonstrate integrity and high level of ethical standards
  • High levels of competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Hands-on approach and can-do attitude

  • Fluent in Japanese and English required
  • International travel as required
