Job: Group Leader – Experiment in Group Living (Japan & Elsewhere)

The Experiment is looking for individuals who have demonstrated interest in intercultural and experiential learning, in-depth experience living abroad, competency in the language of the host culture, and experience working with young people. Experiment group leaders are dynamic, responsible, emotionally mature adults who support Experimenters in a number of ways. First and foremost, they maximize the well-being of all participants so that participants can have a meaningful and memorable learning experience. Leaders also represent The Experiment abroad and manage in-country relationships with integrity and professionalism.
Group Leader Qualifications:
Experiment group leaders are chosen for their leadership skills, particularly in working with young people, and their cross-cultural experience and language competence. The Experiment selects group leaders who have:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Leadership experience working with high school students
- Experience studying and living overseas
- Competence in the language of the host country
