Overview:
The Embassy of Japan is seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented individual for a position in the Japan Information and Cultural Centre. JICC is the cultural section of the Embassy of Japan in New Zealand.
This position will be responsible for a wide range of general office administrative duties, including organising Japanese cultural events, as well as various exchange programmes conducted by the Japanese Government.
- Planning and implementing Japanese cultural programmes and other public relations activities, including negotiating with external organisations in Japan as well as New Zealand.
- Introducing and disseminating Japan related information to the general public.
- Coordinating and managing various JICC functions including presentations, cultural displays and library.
Qualifications:
- Native-level spoken Japanese, and fluency in English
- Excellent written communication skills in both English and Japanese
- Work experience in Public Relations (PR) covering speech writing, reports, publicity, website management preferred
- Computer proficiency in both English and Japanese (general Microsoft applications)
