Overview:
Outside Sales Representative (East Coast)
Purpose of Position
- To effectively promote, and introduce various Yamamotoyama of America products that are available for purchase to potential clients and customers.
- • Upon creating new relationships with clients, it is the responsibility of the sales representative to continuously foster and maintain a positive relationship with their respective clients to ensure each client’s needs and concerns are immediately addressed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work closely with sales representatives from our company’s main distributor (JFC International) who are assigned to their respective territory to help ensure Yamamotoyama products are being introduced and purchased by customers.
- Create new relationships by introducing products to potential customers within assigned territory.
- To ensure products are being introduced properly, the sales representative will be required to make instore visits to potential clients (with or without JFC Sales Rep), make follow up telephone calls, perform live demonstrations and presentations of Yamamotoyama of America Products
- Maintain and Foster Positive Client/Customer Relationships
- To ensure the needs of each customer is met, the Sales Representative will be responsible in maintaining and fostering positive relationships with their respective clients.
- Immediately address all customer concerns and complaints and offer solutions to resolve the issue.
- Document and report all customer complaints and concerns. Discuss these issues with Sales manager to help find solutions to prevent future occurrences.
- Make in-store visits to clients to “check-in” and ensure that we are meeting their product needs.
- Gather information from clients regarding their use of competitor products, service and pricing.
Employee Benefits and Compensation
- Annual Salary of $40K-$45K (DOE) + Bonuses
- Upon completion of probationary period may enroll in Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance.
- Upon completion of one year of employment eligible to enroll in 401K plan.
- Accrual of Sick Leave and Vacation Leave.
- Sales Representatives will be entitled to use company vehicle to conduct everyday business matters.
Requirements:
- Candidates must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration preferably in Marketing but not required.
- 1-2 years experience in Sales, preferably within the food industry, but not required.
- In addition to English, ability to communicate in Japanese and/or Chinese and/or Korean preferred.
- Display strong willingness to learn and seeks to continuously improve and is not easily discouraged.
- Ability to work effectively independently and also be able to function within a team environment.
- Minimum 30% travel requirement to visit clients and customers.
- Have a clean driving record.
