Overview:

The Office of International Programs at Princeton University is seeking a Communications and Outreach Coordinator. The Communication and Outreach Coordinator is responsible for effectively communicating to faculty, students, and parents, the opportunities for and benefits of international experiences offered by the Office of International Programs (OIP). These include Study Abroad, the International Internship Program, the Bridge Year Program, and Fellowship Advising.

The Coordinator evaluates the effectiveness of the OIP’s publicity efforts, manages and advises on all media strategies and events. This includes maintaining and updating the OIP website, coordinating the web resources on international initiatives provided by other offices on campus, supporting on-line systems and databases to capture and analyze the activities and resources related to international activities for undergraduates, and serving as the Activity Type manager of summer study abroad in the SAFE funding system. Develops and oversees the production of print publications, produces a weekly e-newsletter for students alerting them to international opportunities, and maintains social media sites of the OIP. Develops video, Blackboard or other media tools for marketing and preparing students for international experiences. Develops PowerPoint presentations, posters, and flyers for a variety of overseas programs and for meetings related to international programs. Liaises with Communications on news items emerging from OIP, manages the Photo Contest and exhibition and annual Study Abroad Fair. Coordinates public events with other offices.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a B.A., three to five years of related experiences working in a responsible position with little supervision, excellent writing skills as demonstrated by writing samples or published articles, proven experience with website design and the use of online tools to support international programs, strong knowledge of and interest in the use of information technology, knowledge of Roxen or a similar content management system, international experience coupled with a demonstrated interest in international education, ability to work on multiple projects and to respond positively to changing priorities, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Close attention to detail and accuracy is critical.
