Summary of Responsibilities:
The Assistant Academic Director is responsible for supporting students with academic guidance, extra-curriculum activities and housing. As Assistant Academic Director, you will:
- Provide excellent support to international students, by advising students regarding academic performance and other matters
- Teach as necessary, depending on enrollment volume
- Plan social and cultural activities for international students
- Act as liaison with host university for housing program and other university services
- Support Academic Director in other administrative duties as necessary to manage the IEP center
Desired Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 2 years of English language teaching experience
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to establish rapport with students of diverse backgrounds. Culturally sensitive and patient
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to solve problems and deal with conflicts effectively
- Strong organizational skills and capability to prioritize workload effectively
- Skilled at using and leveraging new technologies (Experience with Salesforce a plus)
- Ability to speak a second language is a plus
