Position: Sesnsing Systems Sales Associate
Location: 
San Jose, CA
Type: Full-Time

Overview: 

Candidate is responsible for leading the sales activities and assisting with business development for Epson’s high performance inertial sensor products and sub-systems.

Works in close collaboration with the local marketing and applications groups to develop and execute a successful sales strategy, which includes product launch (marketing/applications) collateral, pricing, sales and distribution training, and key customer/partner engagement.

Manages sales of Epson Sensing Systems via direct sales, channel sales (distribution) and through manufacturing representatives within the Americas for Epson Electronics America.

Manages and coordinates local Design and Global sales for specific customers as required. Implements sales plan strategies and goals for customers in conjunction with Marketing department.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of sales management and marketing concepts for electronic devices and components.
  • Knowledge of order management and distributor management for the electronic devices and components products.
  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and coordinate various activities simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Ability to work in a Japanese / American cultural setting.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.This position handles small, moderate complex territory, no inside sales supervision.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
BS or BA degree; 2 – 4 years of experience, 2 years in Design or FAE with emphasis on system knowledge and/or 2 – 3 years in Sales working with independent Rep organizations. Experience with military sales, robotics, autonomous vehicles and antenna stabilization a plus. Sensing Systems and Sensing Device experience preferred.
