Overview:
A Japanese freight forwarding company has two entry-level positions open in its Air Cargo and Ocean Cargo departments. The company is located in Nashville, TN. The people working in this office are mainly Japanese speakers so this job is perfect for a JET or someone who is familiar with Japanese language or culture!
Basic responsibilities include customer service during the logistics process, communication with local and overseas staff, assisting to resolve minor accounting issues and other service related problem solving. There will be some cross training for other positions in the department so someone with good teamwork is essential for this position.
Requirements:
- BS/BA Degree or equivalent work experience inlogistics, supply-chain industry, or Japanese
- Strong computer, written and oral communication skillsin English, and or Japanese is helpful.
- Willingness to contribute to a team effort and adapt to changes quickly during daily work
- Strong math, geography, and analytical skills
- Project cargo experience is a huge plus
- High level Japanese or above JLPT 2.
