Overview:

Oregon University Systems (OUS) Study Abroad Programs, a division of International Programs, invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month, fixed-term International Program Advisor position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Director.

The Program Advisor’s responsibility is to provide student advising and student support services to past, present and future IE3 interns, and to potential and current applicants for internships worldwide. In addition, they will facilitate site placement with the host sites assigned providing coordination and utilizing online technology and proven cross-cultural communication skills. This position will be housed with the International Programs and Exchanges (IPE) offices at the University of Washington in Seattle.

The Program Advisor is an integral part of the IE3 Global Internships team charged with program promotion, assessing student qualifications for a successful international internship, providing comprehensive support to interns throughout the program, evaluating their experience, and supporting the day-to-day management of an international internship program. The Program Advisor assesses the students’ abilities to succeed abroad in a professional work setting and coordinates with other IE3 Program Advisors and the IE3 Program Director to determine the best host site match possible to fit students’ academic, professional and cultural goals.
