Position: Paid Internship & Training In Multinational Teams
Posted by: Collabriv
Location: San Francisco, CA
Type: full-time

Overview:

Collabriv is recruiting 20 young professionals, ages 21-26, from around the world for a PAID, six-month internship and training program in the SAN FRANCISCO Bay Area, for its July 14, 2014 program.  Collabriv, a social venture based in San Francisco, enables participants to acquire the critical skill of the 21st century—global collaboration—by offering:

  • Master’s level coursework in leadership resulting in a certificate
  • mentoring
  • Access to entrepreneurs and innovators at The Hub
  • Community immersion through homestays
  • and more…

Each Collabriv intern will train, in a four-person team, at a company or NGO in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Projects will focus on:

  • Marketing
  • Public relations/communications
  • Business development

Wikimedia Foundation, the San Francisco NGO that operates Wikipedia, will be one company hosting a team in 2014. Locally-based NGO, ASEB (Alzehimer’s Services of the East Bay), will also host a team in 2014.

Last year ASEB extended the employment of two of its interns for an additional 12 months.

As an “intern” or “trainee” on a J-1 visa, you will work four days a week (Monday through Thursday) for 23 weeks with your host company, in a team with three other Collabriv participants. You will be paid a minimum of $15 per hour.

If you or others you know have interest in participating, Collabriv is now accepting applications for our next program starting July 14, 2014. Program details, along with the application can be found on our website at www.collabriv.com

The initial deadline for applications is Friday March 20, 2014.

To assure geographic diversity, we intend to accept 4 interns from each of 5 regions of the world (Africa, Americas, Asia-Pacific, Europe, and South Asia/West Asia). The twenty individuals selected will be in a 4-person multinational team
