Job Duties:
The Coordinator for UMass Faculty/Staff-Led International Programs is responsible primarily for the development and implementation of international travel or study programs led by UMass Amherst faculty or staff. This position serves as the primary liaison between IPO and the faculty directors and departments who offer short-term faculty-led study abroad programs to ensure the quality of UMass study abroad experiences. This position has substantial programmatic involvement and requires a high degree of familiarity both with IPO programs, events, policies, and procedures, as well as with the academic policies, procedures, and requirements of the various Colleges within the University.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s Degree required (Master’s Degree preferred), and minimum 5 years experience in higher education.
– Significant knowledge of field of international education.
– Substantive experience in living, working and/or studying abroad.
– General knowledge of the process of academic program development and implementation .
– Familiarity with risk management standards in the study abroad field.
– Significant experience developing and administering budgets.
– Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); ability to learn StudioAbroad (online software system).
– Ability to interact with faculty, students, administrators, and others in a highly professional manner.
– High degree of organization and attention to detail required.
Additional Information:
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $41,100 – $51,500
NORMAL STARTING SALARY: $41,100 – $46,300
PROFESSIONAL STAFF SALARY ADMINISTRATION PROGRAM POSITION LEVEL 26.
