Position: Communications Associate/Production Manager
Type: Full-Time

Overview:
The SSRC Communications Department seeks a Communications Associate/Production Manager to work closely with the Communications, Editorial, and IT teams. The Communications Associate/Production Manager will work closely with the Communications, Editorial, and IT teams and will have solid technical skills, with digital communications savvy, as well as an interest in public issues and the social sciences. The Communications Associate / Production Manager also supervises other team members and manages projects. Someone who is efficient and organized, and who can quickly learn and adapt to a variety of new systems and software would be well suited to this position.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 3 years web editing/design experience.
- Strong background in content management essential.
- Experience required: CSS, HTML, FTP, WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign).
- Experience a plus: version control (GitHub); enterprise suites (Google Apps, SharePoint, and Office 365); customization of Microsoft Dynamics CRM; Microsoft Office Productivity Suite; relational databases and query languages (SQL, MySQL).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Project management experience a plus.
- Results-driven team player who is also self-motivated and can work independently.
- Ability to juggle many tasks while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Familiarity with producing and editing multimedia materials for audio/video-related web content.
- Comfortable in an academic/nonprofit environment, with the ability to work with a wide range of professionals and personalities.
