Position: Cultural Programs and Community Service Coordinator

Overview:
The position entails developing and implementing all student trips and cultural activities, on-campus activities that are not directly academic, and the community service program. The department is in transition and will require a visionary person who is self-directed and intrinsically motivated.
Job Duties:
- Develop, organize and implement all student trips and cultural activities
- Develop, organize and implement on-campus activities (non-academic)
- Responsible for trip and activity budget
- Attend off campus trips as a group leader
- Attend activities
- Provide support to the Student Services Manager and Orientation coordinator when needed
- Develop, organize and coordinate the Community Service Program
- Provide assistance to students in the office
- Assist in maintaining social media (facebook, etc.)
- Work at Graduation
- Participate in Student Life conferences and meetings
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- -3 year experience working in Student Services or Student Affairs
- 2-3 year experience event planning
- Volunteer experience
- Excellent communication
- Customer service skills
- Highly self motivated
- Flexible
- Perform well under pressure
- Valid EU working documents in Italy
- Fluent English and Italian
- Team player
- This role will require travel throughout Italy and occasionally abroad
- This role will require to work late evenings and weekend shifts
- Ability to balance the needs of a wide range of constituents
- Experience with public speaking and/or workshop presentations
- Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to details and planning skills
- Ability to work irregular hours

Position: Orientation Coordinator and Student Services Associate Manager

Overview:
The position entails developing and implementing John Cabot University’s New Student Orientation, and Parent\Family Orientation. The Orientation Coordinator will be responsible for the budgeting, staffing, program design and implementation. This position also recruits, selects, trains and supervises the student Orientation leaders. The Orientation Coordinator will be working in a team-oriented environment and should be willing to work collaboratively with various constituencies, including faculty, staff, students, and parents/families.
Job Duties:
- Plan and implement Orientation 4 times a year
- Coordinates and facilitates all Orientation programs- transfer, new students, and parent\family Orientation.
- Coordinate university wide logistics (facilities, dining, staffing, committees)
- Develop Orientation schedule
- Supervises websites, and other departmental correspondence and communications.
- Responsible for all writing, edits and produces brochures, reports, texts, and handbooks.
- Hire, train and supervise Orientation Leaders and Skippers (approximately 20)
- Further develop the Orientation Leader and Skipper program
- Work with Admissions department on pre-departure Orientation in the US
- Develop an online pre-departure Orientation
- Coordinate the university-wide assessment of Orientation
- Prepare and monitor budget
- Create smart phone application for Orientation scheduling
- Develop a “Welcome Week “
- Assist in maintaining social media (face book, etc.)
- Provide assistance to students in the Student Services Office
- Participate in Student Life conferences and meetings
- Provide support to the Student Services Manager
- Other duties as assigned
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Master’s degree preferred
- 2-3 year experience working in Student Services or Student Affairs
- 2-3 year experience large scale event planning
- Excellent communication
