Position: Study Abroad Program Assistant for Japanese Students

Overview:
International Cross-Cultural Committee (ICC) is an international study consulting company, with headquarters located in Tokyo, offering an array of international exchange programs. ICC’s commitment to excellence and unique approach to exchange study programs earns the trust of over one thousand participants annually.
Essential Functions
– Provide academic, non-academic, immigration and career advising to Japanese students (high school, college and professionals)
– Lead student orientations and workshops for Japanese students
– Provide student activity support for various short-term programs
– Provide general office support
Required Skills & Abilities
– Evidence of native level Japanese and English verbal and written communication skills.
– Previous student advising experience.
– Proficiency using a PC and various software applications such as, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
– 4 year college graduation or equivalent, AND
– Two (2) years of experience working with Japanese students in an advising capacity. OR,
– Any combination of relevant education, training, and experience that indicates successful performance of the essential functions of this position may be substituted.
– Legal work permit in the United States
– Washington State Driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
– Recent experience with US immigration, especially in F-1 Visa.
Schedule
30 hours per week / Must be able to work until 6pm. Regular office hour is 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday with occasional weekends during students arrival (generally in March & September, and occasional Summer)
