Company Information:
CAPAS (Center for Asian Pacific American Students) provides programs and services that focus on Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) issues for a multicultural campus community. The Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Center’s daily operations, serving as a resource and facilitating programs for AAPI students, raising awareness of issues affecting the AAPI community, training and developing student leaders.

Responsibilities:
1. Provide support and guidance to AAPI students and develop programs and activities designed to build awareness of the AAPI culture, history and identity.

2. Determine needs and develop long-term goals and objectives for the Center. Develop learning outcomes and regularly assess student learning as it relates to CAPAS programs.

3. Oversee the Center’s daily operations including selection, training, scheduling and payroll for student staff personnel.

4. Responsible for planning and coordinating major events, and developing and maintaining the resources in CAPAS, including the website.

5. Advise various student groups and programs that foster intercultural understanding through Asian American issues, including the Asian American sponsor program.
