Job Details:

Commencing April 2012:
ESL Teacher (grades 1-6)

Commencing August 2012:
IT Teacher / IT Support (grades 6-12)
Music Teacher (grades 1-12)
Art Teacher (grades 1-12)
PE Teacher (grades 1-12)

Doshisha International School, Kyoto (DISK) opened its new purpose-built campus to the world September 2011. We offer a reputed international curriculum in English for students Grades 1-12 and are currently a candidate school to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program.

Our staff of over 30 teachers from around the globe are committed to developing students who can make a difference in the world from having an education based on the educational principles of liberalism, internationalism, and Christianity originally adopted by our parent university, Doshisha University, over 135 years ago.

DISK is located in southern Kyoto, central to the Kansai business centers of Nara, Kyoto and Osaka.

We offer a competitive salary and pension, medical/dental, housing, transportation, moving, and dependent subsidies in accordance with the Doshisha rules and regulations.

In addition to subject related experience and qualifications, candidates must have understanding toward Christianity and the basic principles upon which an international school is founded and:

· possess a valid teaching license for elementary, middle and/or high school education from a country other than Japan

· and/or have special achievements and experience in international schools or the field of international education.

Teachers with International Baccalaureate experience are of particular interest.
