Job Position: Broadcast Coordinator (Tokyo)

Job Details:

As a Broadcast Co-ordinator you will play a vital role in ensuring the overall success of a BBC based project. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be part of the team responsible for the Japanese versioning of live news and current affairs programming.

Responsibilities:

  • Day to day running of Japanese studio in Tokyo
  • Monitoring Japanese audio output
  • Investigating and reporting on broadcast issues
  • Operation of broadcast systems such as subtitling programmer and auto playout software
  • Organisation of schedules and staff rotas
  • Processing freelancer invoices
  • Out of hours response for broadcast issues

    • Knowledge and Experience:

  • The ability to work well under pressure and using your own initiative
  • Previous broadcast experience would be an advantage
  • Competence with Mac, PC, Microsoft Word and Excel

    • Personal Skills:

  • Excellent organisational, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Must be punctual and able to manage own time and conduct several tasks simultaneously and to tight deadlines
  • Confident and pro-active
  • Japanese language ability
