Reporting to the Academic Director of the Center on Japanese Economy and Business, and working collaboratively with the other directors of the Center, the Associate Director for Program Development will substantially engage in leading program development and activities.
Key Job Responsibilities:
1. Thoroughly understand and carry out the Center’s mission by leading new program development and maintaining current activities of the Program on Alternative Investments.
2. Play a key role in the fulltime management of the Center’s Program on Alternative Investments.
3. Lead in conceptualizing and planning new CJEB events and activities for each academic year, including conferences, workshops and roundtable discussions both in New York and Tokyo, involving current themes concerning Japanese business, finance and economics.
4. Be a team player and work with Assistant Director for Program Planning and program officers to successfully execute programs and activities.
5. Consult with Associate Director, Advising, on issues relating to corporate sponsorship of Program on Alternative Investments. |
Minimum Qualifications for Grade
Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant |
Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of four years’ related experience, preferably in program development, business development or research project organization. |

Must participate as a team player at the Center. Must have deep knowledge of Japan, the Japanese language, issues of Japanese and international business, finance and economics. Must be able to exercise tact and discretion when interacting with international leaders in business, academia, government, and with faculty and students of the School. Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills. |
