Just FYI, I got confirmation today that Montgomery “Monty” Dickson (Iwate-ken, Rikuzentakata-shi) (originally from Alaska) is in fact the only remaining missing JET. All other JETs have been accounted for.
Search efforts continue, and the JET and JET alumni communities continue to hope and pray.
Ganbatte kudasai, Monty, wherever you are.

My heart goes out to Monty and hopes that he is found.
There was a well done 60 Minutes story on the Sendai Earthqake & Tsunami that includes a heartbreaking interview with an American English teacher at an elementary school at Matsushima. He tells of how he saved some children and was saved himself by some local elderly. The story was especially powerful for me as it made me think that I could have been in the same situation as this ALT and what would I have done.

Perhaps you want to post this to the main site.
Monty’s body was recovered yesterday and identified. My heart goes out to his family and friends.
Here is the link to the Anchorage Daily News article where they released the information: http://www.adn.com/2011/04/05/1794259/body-of-alaska-teacher-found-in.html
